However, there is one conversation that is striking and it should be clear in our minds, so that we protect ourselves from ever hearing these awful words. The dwellers of Hell will say: “Our Lord! Bring us out of this. If we ever return (to evil), then we would indeed be wrongdoers.” He (Allah) will say: “Remain you in it, in a state of humiliation! And do not speak to Me!” (Quran 23:107-108). And those in the Fire will say to the keepers of Hell, "Supplicate to your Lord to lighten for us a day from the punishment." They know that Allah will not answer them and will not listen to their prayer, because Allah said, Remain you in it with humiliation! And speak you not to Me! so they will ask the keepers of Hell to pray to Allah to lessen the Fire for them if only for one day. But the keepers of Hell will refuse, saying to them, Did there not come to you, your Messengers with (clear evidences)? They will say: "Yes." The angels will reply: "Then call as you like!" you are on your own. We will not pray for you or listen to you; we do not want you to be saved and we have nothing to do with you.
