663. Medication Truths: What Your Pharmacist Sees That Your Doctor Doesn't

Описание

What if the biggest problem with your health isn’t a lack of medication, but a lack of answers? In this episode, I’m joined by compounding pharmacist Shawn Needham for a candid conversation about medications, hormones, weight loss, and the healthcare system. We talk about GLP-1s, thyroid treatment, natural desiccated thyroid, and why Shawn believes the basics of sleep, diet, and exercise matter more than any “magic” drug. We also talk about supplements, lab testing, statins, cholesterol, and what Shawn has learned from running a pharmacy outside the traditional insurance model. It’s a conversation about asking better questions, understanding your options, and becoming more informed about your own healthcare. What you’ll learn: Why Shawn puts sleep, diet, and exercise first His concerns about GLP-1 medications What you should know about T4 vs. T3 Why thyroid treatment may need to be personalized Where supplements and testing can go too far What pharmacists see that doctors may not Shawn’s biggest healthcare myth If you’ve ever felt frustrated by a “normal” lab result, questioned whether your medication is actually addressing the root of the problem, or wondered if there’s a better way to approach your health, you’ll want to tune into this episode.
