Water Days: Swimming the English Channel

Mariel’s dedication, discipline and love for swimming are reflected in her achievements.Mariel did not only swim across the English Channel, considered the Everest of open water swimmers, but also swam the Catalina Channel (2012) and the Manhattan Island Marathon (2009). She is the first Mexican woman to accomplish "the Triple Crown" of open water swimming. Those, like me, who share the same passion for the open water swimming as Mariel does, live the same emotion when in contact with that quiet blue world that gives us the feeling of freedom. Mariel shares her own experiences in her book “Water Days”. Congratulations Mariel. - Nora ToledanoRead more
