The Sound Bath Coursebook: A Practitioner's Guide: Discover the science & spirituality of sound, and how to play the instruments

A sound bath can be an extraordinary journey of peace and calm, particularly for those who feel that meditation is difficult. The sounds clear away the mental chatter in your mind— and allow you to enter an almost trance-like state of relaxation and harmony.—In this coursebook, we'll go through many of the fascinating theories about why a sound bath has such profound benefits. We’ll start with the most irrefutable, then move into the esoteric. Expect to learn about parasympathetic response, entrainment, cymatics, binaural beats and brainwaves, and music theory & harmonics (if nothing else— read this last part!).We'll also dive into the current research on vibroacoustic therapy, and how to it affects the body.Several sound healing claims will be refuted in this book— the myth of 432hz and the 'Solfeggio' frequencies. We will explore the spirituality of sound, and introduce concepts such as Nada Yoga. You'll also get a short history of all the most popular sound meditation instruments and tips on how to play them.-Note— the e-book version does not come with a free year of 'The Sound Bath App', that is only for hardcover or paperback!Read more
