The History of Leaving Me Alone: An Abstraction on Authority

Throughout this book the following theme will be reiterated, often; every command, edict, decree, law, bylaw, regulation, rule, statute, bill, policy, vote, directive, guideline, instruction, control, political mandate or philosophy, that has ever existed involves regulating human action(s) in some way…and we have all been regulated since ancient times. This book is an abstract analysis of authority itself, but more than this it is the sum of the author’s critical investigation into its history, essence, meaning, purpose, as well as into its various applications, both modern and historic, and the role it plays in human lives and communities. This book offers no advice on living, despite containing ethical content; it offers no advocacy for any particular personal or political philosophy, despite containing political and philosophical content. This is the story ofauctoritas, and the principles upon which it is based; this is the history of authority, the history ofpower– which doesn’t leave anyone alone…as history demonstrates.Read more
