Mentored by Failure: A 5-Point Guide to Long-Term Success in the Beauty & Style Industry

The numbers are dismal: only 20% of beauty school graduates continue in the field after five short years. What accounts for such high turnover? In Mentored by Failure, Tye Caldwell pulls from his personal journey—many wins and quite a few losses—to share five points that he believes are the basis for a long and successful career. Along with a few tell-tale stories, he debunks industry myths and offers truth and wisdom about how to survive and truly thrive in the beauty industry. Mentored By Failure will save you time and missteps. Within these pages are valuable lessons that act as an invaluable resource to your personal, professional, and financial life. This is the book Tye would have wanted when he graduated from barber and beauty college more than twenty years ago. If you consistently practice what he recommends, the sage advice offered in these chapters will take you to a higher level in your profession.Read more
