An Introvert's Remarkable Journey From 'Dunce' to President!

Here is what makes this Autobiography a compelling and addictive must-read! A quiet little boy is born in a small, rural Jamaican community on a rainy afternoon in the month of May. Starting school, he is labelled a 'dunce' by his teacher and shunted to the back of his class. He goes to primary school without shoes at times. He sits his high school entrance examination and fails it, not once, but twice! Now, fast-forward several decades later and the same little dunce, barefooted, and exam-failing boy is now a mature, confident, and professional man holding five degrees (including a Doctor of Philosophy) from a college and three universities in four different countries! He also held senior academic and administrative positions in higher education, including the post of President of his Alma Mater College! This is an accomplishment some persons rank right up there with Barack Obama becoming POTUS (President of the United States) and Nelson Mandela becoming President of South Africa! The fascinating life story of the little dunce, barefooted, and exam-failing boy is one that needed to be told, and is told in this autobiography! But it's not told for narcissistic ego-stoking. Rather, his story is told to inspire and motivate other persons, especially youths not born into wealth or privileged circumstances. Thus, at its core this book is really a motivational device! In a crisp, clear, and engaging writing style that reveals an awesome vocabulary, the author effectively weaves into the narrative of his life story richly seasoned helpings of humour; spicy and serious slices of Jamaican history, culture and "country life" experiences; biting commentary on contemporary issues; peppery portions of philosophy; potent perspectives on religion; saucy servings of science; and other rich kernels of knowledge. This results in broad coverage that also makes this autobiography a scholarly pedagogical tool and socio-cultural treatise that falls within the mind-scope of everyone who can read! This autobiography is also a great way
