He explains that money never granted them security, and that back home it was not the lack of money that made his family poor but repeated poor decisions. Earning far less today as an indie author, he finds he no longer worries about money at all, because the decisions behind it finally got better. "But the truth is that, back on Warren Street, it wasn't the lack of money that made us poor. No, Mom and I were poor because of poor decisions. Repeated poor decisions." "Once I let go of the worry, I had nothing to worry about."
