The Warrior Within: Major Meg Tucker and The Valkyrie Project | EP-388

Deskripsi

In this episode, we sit down with Major Meg Tucker, a U.S. Army veteran who served for 15 years across several sectors of the military. Starting her career as a Kiowa helicopter pilot, Meg later transitioned into psychological operations (PSYOP), where she spent the majority of her time embedded in special operations units. Known for her exceptional physical fitness—scoring the equivalent of a 270 on the men's PT test—Meg brings firsthand insight into the evolving standards of military readiness. We dive deep into the Army’s newly announced sex-neutral physical fitness test for special operations and combat arms, exploring its implications for the future of combat and the inclusion of women in these demanding roles. Meg Tucker shares candid thoughts on gender integration in the military, the challenges women face in elite units, and how her organization, The Valkyrie Project, is empowering the next generation of warrior women through mentorship, training, and advocacy. _______________ MENTORS4MIL SHOW LINKS: SUBSCRIBE: https://www.youtube.com/@Mentors4mil Support the Show: https://www.patreon.com/Mentors4mil Listen on Apple: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/mentors-for-military-podcast/id1072421783 Listen on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/3w4RiZBxBS8EDy6cuOlbUl Follow on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/mentors4mil Follow on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Mentors4Mil/ Follow on X: https://www.twitter.com/mentors4mil Mentors4mil Website: https://www.mentorsformilitary.com #mentors4mil #mentorsformilitary Guest Links: https://www.thevalkyrieproject.org For sales or sponsorship contact info@mentorsformilitary.com 00:00 Intro 00:40 The Journey to the Army 04:28 Transitioning to Active Duty 15:50 The Reality of Military Training 30:04 Entering Special Operations 44:28 Women in Special Operations 01:06:25 The Valkyrie Project 01:20:36 Advice for Women Entering the Military 01:30:09 Closing Thoughts and Future Opportunities Visit our Amazon page to purchase some of the items we use in our
