Deskripsi

Tax Accountant. World Traveler. Beach Volleyball Addict. Fashion Icon. Former gym hater. This week on The Patty Show, Joseph Masato shares the incredible journey that transformed his life—from avoiding workouts and battling rising A1C levels to building a thriving fitness-focused lifestyle rooted in consistency, community, and self-respect. Born to a Mexican mother and Japanese father, Joseph brings a unique perspective on discipline, culture, and creating balance while navigating the demanding world of corporate finance as a Senior Tax Accountant. In this episode we discuss: 🔥 How Joseph completely changed his relationship with fitness 🔥 The 5 AM routine that helped transform his health 🔥 Managing Type 2 Diabetes through consistency and lifestyle changes 🔥 Mexican and Japanese influences that shaped his mindset 🔥 Balancing a high-pressure accounting career with wellness 🔥 Travel, fashion, tennis, beach volleyball, and building a life you actually enjoy 🔥 Why your body is your teammate—not your enemy As Joseph's former trainer, getting to witness this transformation firsthand has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my coaching career. What started as a stack of unused training credits became a complete lifestyle shift—and eventually a friendship. We even tell the story of the random morning Joseph spotted me walking on the beach after one of his workouts and immediately recruited me into a volleyball game with his crew. Those moments are what fitness is really about: connection, confidence, and community. And yes... somewhere along the way he even gifted me a bottle of tequila. That's how you know we've come a long way from those first training sessions. 😂🥃 If you've ever felt intimidated by the gym, struggled to stay consistent, or wondered if real change is possible, Joseph's story proves that small daily actions can completely rewrite your future. 🎙️ New episodes every Thursday Join the Patty Party! 📺 YouTube: @ThePattyShowPodcast 📸 Instagram: @thepattyshowpodcast 🎵 TikTok: @thepattyshowpo
