Our Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/c/TalkernateHistory The Fighting Seabees is an action-packed movie starring John Wayne about a relatively unsung group of people who served during WWII, The Naval Construction Battalions. The real life Seabees were civilian construction workers who volunteered to serve overseas alongside the US military in the heat of combat. These men were trained and authorized to use weapons if the situation called for it and they were essential to the Allied victory in the Pacific. This film takes that premise and gives us an absurdly entertaining action spectacle. If you ever wanted to see a bulldozers push Japanese tanks off cliffs, this is the movie for you.
