Shoutout To Teyana Taylor! She Deserved This Award.

Deskripsi

Hattie McDaniel was the 1st to win an Oscar. She won it with “Gone With The Wind” she was a maid. Halle Berry won for “Monster's Ball” after that scene with Billy Bob Thornton. Viola Davis won for her role in the “The Help,” that was another subservient role. Lupita Langa won for being assaulted as a slave girl in a film. It's always a white man doing something to a black woman too. Maids and over-sexualized characters seem to be the only roles they allow us to win. That's why people like Angela Bassett got snubbed for her “Black Panther” role because she wasn't over-sexualized and it was a mainly black cast. If you really do a deep dive into the history you'll notice that there's a pattern of this happening to black actors/actresses. That's why I'm side-eyeing what they're doing with “Sinners.” Watching that movie it was a no-brainer for me that it should’ve won more awards. But shoutout to Teyana Taylor for winning her award. She’s absolutely amazing, multitalented, she can sing, dance, act, etc. I got a chance to meet her and she's an amazing person! I just wish that our people got recognized for other roles as well. #GoldenGlobes #Movies #Actors Get your tickets to see me live!
