It showed the PH economy slowing down to 5.2% year-on-year in the 3rd quarter (from a revised 6.4% in 2Q34), below the consensus projection of 5.7%. But as we look under the hood, we recognize that despite the export-driven slowdown, household consumption and investment-related components are quite resilient. This is despite the pressure from higher costs and the central bank's tight policy.
