Deskripsi

If you are attending the All Together Now festival over the bank holiday weekend, make sure you come down and see us all at the GoLoud StageI'll be there at 5pm on Sunday 2nd August chatting about the podcast and all things true crime, So come down and say hello !!In this week’s episode, Nules looks into the case of John O’Grady, a farmer in Ireland whose violent actions sparked a legal battle that questioned the very nature of sanity and justice. In a time when Ireland was ravaged by famine and desperation, O’Grady’s murders of his wife and servant girl raised darker questions about what it means to be sane when the mind is clouded by paranoia. You’ll discover how a man’s twisted beliefs about the women in his household led to a brutal double murder, and how the legal system struggled to decide if his mind was genuinely sick or simply pretending. We break down the clues in his confusing confessions, the medical debates that followed in a case, and the impact of Ireland’s harsh social climate on the case.A massive thank you to our sponsor, Revive Active, for supporting this episode.
