Kandi Burruss: I'm a Gambler - I Gamble on My Ideas | Aspire Archives

Deskripsi

Kandi just told me her first financial goal as a teenager: was to see $100,000 in her bank account. And when she hit it? She didn't buy anything. Everyone else in her group was buying cars. She saved. Why? Because she read financial books as a teenager. She understood early: to become a millionaire, you have to live below your means. So she balanced her checkbook to the penny. She saved until she saw that $100K. Then she finally bought a car - but didn't pay it off at once. She built credit instead. The most powerful moment? When she says: "I'm a gambler. I gamble on my ideas. I'll take a big gamble if I want to see something work." That's the mindset that built everything. She's not gambling at casinos (well, only on vacation). She's gambling on herself. On her businesses. On her daughter's career. On the girl group she's developing. We also talk about Real Housewives - which Kandi calls both a gift and a curse. She did 14 seasons STRAIGHT (longest running housewife in franchise history). The money was good. The fan base was incredible. She met her husband on the show. But leaving? That was hard. Here's what really got me: Kandi says she's "always working on my next move while I'm in my current move." When she made the decision to leave Housewives, she already knew Othello was happening. The tour conversations were already in motion. She made sure she had something next. Because here's the thing - there was a time after Xscape split up when Kandi didn't know what was next. The songs weren't playing on the radio anymore. She panicked. And she made herself a promise: "If I ever get my career back to where it once was, I'm never going to take it for granted again." She hasn't. We highlight the importance of personal finance from a young age, how to save money effectively, emphasizing diligent money management and the development of a strong money mindset. This is discipline. This is strategy. This is what it looks like to build lasting success. CATCH KANDI IN CHICAGO ON APRIL 21 AT THE START WITH YOURS
