I Saw Iraq Before I Ever Went: A Real-Life Vision Confirmed 19 Years Later

Deskripsi

In this week's episode of Blurry Creatures, we're are joined by Milam Byers, guitarist for the Christian rock band Bleach, for a deeply personal discussion on brotherhood, sacrifice, and the supernatural. Byers recounts the harrowing loss of his brother, Army Captain Josh Byers, who was killed by a targeted IED attack in Iraq in 2003—a tragedy that occurred while his parents were unreachable mid-flight and Milam had just become engaged. Central to the conversation is the "impossible" story of Josh’s final moments, where his driver and fellow soldiers clearly heard him shout a lifesaving command to "Keep moving forward" despite injuries that made speech physically impossible. Milam also shares a powerful vision he received while grieving in a closet, seeing God "snatch up" his brother from a lush, green landscape—a geographical detail he couldn't explain until it was confirmed by satellite imagery 19 years later. The episode explores the theology of suffering, the long road through trauma, and how Milam is now finding redemptive purpose by supporting special operations veterans through equine therapy with Darkhorse Elite.
