How Umar Ibn Abd al-Aziz SAVED THE UMMAH in 2 Years

Deskripsi

In this episode of Muslim Atlas, Makean investigates how Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz, a man raised inside the opulent heart of Umayyad royalty, became the ruler who eradicated poverty across an entire empire and earned the title of the Fifth Rightly Guided Caliph. How does a leader strip himself of luxury overnight, seize back stolen wealth from his own extended family, and restructure the treasury of the world's most powerful empire, all while being despised by the very aristocracy that put him in power? What made his Zakat collectors report back that they literally could not find anyone poor enough to receive charity? And what does it mean that this same ruler, who commanded armies from Spain to Sindh, died leaving behind just 17 dinars? This episode breaks down the five leadership principles that made Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz's two-year caliphate one of the most extraordinary governance stories in human history, and asks what the world might look like if its leaders were governed by the same framework. 0:00 Intro 1:35 Who Was Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz? 2:50 Support OnePath 3:41 The Umayyad Corruption Problem 6:10 The Testing Ground: Governing Madinah 8:33 Becoming Caliph Against His Will 9:51 Radical Re-Engineering Starts at Home 12:35 Hiring Only A-Players 13:53 The Two Candles: Zero Tolerance for Corruption 15:09 Abolishing the Jizya Tax 17:22 The Economic Boom Nobody Expected 19:14 Why They Poisoned Him 20:06 The Ruler Who Died With 17 Dinars 21:40 The Five Principles of Great Leadership 🔔 Subscribe to our YouTube to stay up to date with our latest productions. 🎉 Introducing the official OnePath Network MERCHANDISE STORE! 🏷️ 👕 👉 https://shop.onepathnetwork.com/ If you enjoy OnePath content, please consider supporting us to grow! ►https://onepathnetwork.com/dollar-a-day/?&utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=description Download the OnePath Network App for access to the latest and exclusive videos: https://onepath.onelink.me/mJxr/3de973bd Join this channel to get access to perks: https://www.youtube.com/cha
