It is a time when the gates of Jannah are opened and believers strive to grow closer to Allah through fasting, Qur’an, dhikr, and especially Tahajjud (Qiyam ul-Layl) — the powerful night prayer. Tahajjud in Ramadan is one of the greatest acts of worship for anyone seeking forgiveness, guidance, rizq, success, marriage, healing, or relief from hardship. Allah says: “And during a part of the night, pray Tahajjud beyond what is incumbent on you; it may be that your Lord will raise you to a station of praise and glory.” (Qur’an 17:79) The last third of the night is a time of acceptance. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Our Lord descends to the lowest heaven in the last third of every night and says: Who is calling upon Me so that I may answer him? Who is asking of Me so that I may give him? Who is seeking My forgiveness so that I may forgive him? Standing in Tahajjud during Ramadan, especially in the last third of the night and on Laylatul Qadr, is a powerful way to strengthen iman, purify the heart, and increase the chances of your dua being accepted. May Allah make us among those whose night prayers are sincere and whose duas are answered.
