How My Cdrama Taste Has Evolved Since 2018 (Ep 179)

Deskripsi

☕ Welcome back to Tea & Soju, your drama hangout for all things Cdrama! In this week's episode, I'm taking a step back and reflecting on how my Cdrama taste has evolved since I first started watching back in 2018.When I first discovered Cdramas, I was all about actors, romance, and modern dramas. Everything felt new and exciting, and I wasn't paying much attention to things like screenwriting, directing, pacing, or story structure. Fast forward a few years, and not only has my viewing taste evolved, but so has the way I watch dramas. From modern romances to political masterpieces like Nirvana in Fire, I'm chatting about how historical dramas won me over, why I now pay much more attention to writing and directing, how starting Tea & Soju changed my perspective as a viewer, and why I find myself gravitating towards very different dramas than I did when I first started. In this episode, we discuss:🍵 How I first got into Cdramas in 2018🍵 My early viewing habits and favourite types of dramas🍵 The shift from actors and romance to writing and storytelling🍵 Why historical dramas became my favourite genre🍵 Learning to appreciate political storylines🍵 Binge watching vs watching dramas while they're airing🍵 How my relationship with Kdramas has changed over timeI'd love to hear from you:How has your drama taste evolved over the years?Has there been a genre, trope, or type of drama you used to avoid but now love?Thank you for listening, and as always, happy watching! ☕🍶If you enjoyed this episode and want more behind-the-scenes content, deleted clips, extra reviews, and access to our monthly Zoom meet-ups, you can join the Patreon:https://www.patreon.com/c/u82789007 Looking for a safe space to chat all things Asian dramas?
