EP21: Death of a Love Story: The Cochise-Beebom Case | Philippines’ Most Shocking Stories

Deskripsi

Hosted by reporter Lyza Aquino, this episode revisits one of the most talked-about criminal cases involving two young University of the Philippines graduates, Ernesto “Cochise” Bernabe II and Ana Lourdes “Beebom” Castaños. On the evening of April 25, 1990, the couple was abducted outside a restaurant in Quezon City while planning to have dinner, setting off a nationwide search when they failed to return. Two months later, their remains were recovered in Pampanga, and a courtroom battle exposed the conspiracy that led to their deaths and the subsequent convictions of the perpetrators. “Philippines’ Most Shocking Stories” is a YouTube documentary series from ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs that looks back into real-life events that captured national attention — stories that made headlines, prompted investigations, and sparked public discussion. The series is hosted by ABS-CBN News reporters who provide verified information, deeper context, and a comprehensive picture of these defining cases.
