The Cost of Politics in India ft. Niranjan Sahoo, Ambar Kumar Ghosh

Deskripsi

We discuss:* The nexus of politics and money* What do politicians have to spend money on?* Vote Buying* How do voters behave?* Cynicism of voters* How does this impact the demography of elected representatives?* Who can clean this system?* Asymmetry in Political Finance* Will One Nation One Election reduce the cost of politics?* Alternatives systems for political funding* Transparency in funding* What can common citizens do?Thanks for reading पुलियाबाज़ी Puliyabaazi!
