90% of the brain is developed by age 5?! | UNICEF Ghana ECCD Explainer

Deskripsi

Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) isn’t just a social issue—it’s a national development priority. As Dr. Annette Imohe (Nutrition Manager, UNICEF Ghana) highlights, 90% of brain development occurs before a child even turns five. By investing in the new National ECCD Policy (2025-2029), Ghana is reducing future healthcare costs and building a more productive, successful workforce. It requires a multi-sectoral approach—bringing together health workers, teachers, and policy-makers to ensure every child has the foundation to thrive. 🔗 Learn more: https://www.unicef.org/ghana/documents/early-childhood-care-development-eccd-policy #EarlyChildhoodDevelopment #ECCD #PublicPolicy #Ghana
