Deskripsi

Dr. Ivan Rusilko joins me to talk about why so many patients feel unheard, what he believes is missing from conventional healthcare, and how lifestyle, hormone balance, diagnostic testing, and patient education all fit into a more comprehensive approach to wellness. We also discuss how his background in athletics and preventive medicine shaped the way he practices today, long before functional medicine became mainstream. We get into how patients can become better advocates for their own health, what questions they should ask when choosing a provider, and why individualized care requires looking beyond a single lab value or diagnosis. We also discuss the growing influence of social media and AI in healthcare, the challenges facing both conventional and functional medicine, and the importance of balancing evidence, clinical experience, and common sense when helping people improve their health. What you’ll learn: Why Dr. Ivan chose a preventive and lifestyle-focused approach from the very beginning of his medical career The questions every patient should ask when evaluating a healthcare provider Why comprehensive lab testing is only valuable when you know how to interpret and apply the results How hormone health extends far beyond estrogen and testosterone alone The role stress, sleep, nutrition, and exercise play in long-term health outcomes What concerns us most about today's wellness industry and the rise of health influencers How AI and social media are changing the way patients seek medical information Tune in to hear what quality healthcare should look like, how to become a more informed participant in your own health journey, and why asking better questions often leads to better outcomes.
