Smith Wigglesworth Polly My True Love: A Virtuous Woman's Price Is Far Above Rubies

Here is this true-life story of Polly Wigglesworth, the wife of the late great Smith Wigglesworth. Polly is not much spoken of, but Smith said she is the one who helped him become the man c God called him to be. Here are his own words: One night I got home about 11 o’clock from an open-air meeting. And when I got home, I wanted to see my Wife; I loved her so much; she was everything to me.Men, love your wives as Christ loved the church. [Ep 5.25]There is something in a Wife that is brought to you by the gift of God that you will never know her equal in this life. I stand on this platform because of a Holy woman, a woman who loved righteousness, poured her righteousness into my life, transforming my life from many a wayward indifference of all kinds. Thereby so shaping my life that she was practically the means that God used of purging me through and through. A Holy Wife is worth more than gold.Proverbs 31:10 Who can find a virtuous woman?for her price is far above rubies.Proverbs 19:14 House and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the Lord.Proverbs 12:4 A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband:Proverbs 18:22 Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord.Proverbs 3:15 She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.And I say, wives, love your husbands. Let nothing come between and the one you married. It is the stimulus of your lives; it is the hope of your home; it is the destined eternity which is fixed in the homes.Read more
