Family Always

A story of family secrets, long hidden clues, and a 200-year-old quest for justice. Some of those who knew Jeremy Delahass well were fond of saying that he’d raised a royal ruckus during his lifetime and enjoyed every single moment of it. Others were more diplomatic in saying that he’d stood by his principles no matter what came up against him. Many would agree with both, believing each to be true of the man few really knew. But they all wondered where he’d disappeared to…leaving almost as quickly as he’d arrived. Two hundred years later his descendants are still trying to figure out the answers to many of the lingering questions that Jeremy Delahass left behind. But they knew where he’d gone. He built Nolbeloir House. To this day his descendants, those descended from each of his children, still lived in the house that Jeremy Delahass built. He’d made certain of it.In the current generation of those who lived in the house that Jeremy built, the responsibility of the Delahass Legacy has always weighed heavy on the shoulders of Jase Delahass but never more so than it has in recent months. His cousin, Maria Delahass, has just uncovered a long buried secret that explains much of the motivations that drove their ancestor, Jeremy Delahass. While he’d spent much of his life questioning his ancestor’s actions, with all he now knows, Jeremy has his unwavering respect.More importantly, Jase also now understands what compelled Jeremy to take up what few would, and then walk away without a backwards glance. Jase Delahass knew history. He’d spent years studying what made men and women make the choices they did. From where he stood in the middle of the twenty-third century looking back at Jeremy’s legacy, it had been difficult for him to comprehend all that his ancestor had done. And more importantly…why. They still didn’t have the all the answers. But with all they were learning…with each clue they found that Jeremy had left behind pressing them forward to whatever it was he felt imperative that someday be revealed…one thing bec
