In 1976, John Hodges sought hypnotic regression to uncover two hours of missing time following a terrifying 1971 encounter with his friend, Peter Rodriguez, in Palos Verdes, California. Under hypnosis, John recalled seeing two round, "brain-like" organic creatures on the road before being abducted by tall, grey humanoids. The beings used the brain-creatures as biological translators to telepathically warn John about humanity's imminent nuclear self-destruction. Convinced he was implanted with a "translator cell," John spent years receiving increasingly detailed—and ultimately false—prophecies about a coming World War. The case took a stunning turn when Peter's independent regression corroborated the initial sighting, including describing the creatures as "brains," suggesting a genuine, anomalous event occurred. This leaves investigators with a disturbing cautionary tale: If the encounter was real, why did the intelligence behind it purposefully manipulate and mislead the witness with provably false claims? 🥸 Papa Lurks (My Dad) Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC5wpvX82-n8s3MTkd2zF4hw 👉SUBSCRIBE https://bit.ly/Subscribe-To-WLB 👉SUBMIT YOUR STORIES TO: stories@whatlurksbeneath.com 🎙️WHAT LURKS BENEATH PODCAST (Interviews w/ Experts & Witnesses) https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCC1wn5WFdt-0UGL_p14YuIw 👉JOIN MY DISCORD: https://discord.gg/5jUDGrxQTF 🎥 MY GEAR 🎥 My Speakers: https://amzn.to/3ChzoUX Speaker Stands: https://amzn.to/3QCnwRN My Microphone: https://amzn.to/3A6Oius Backup Microphone: https://amzn.to/3K4zpNK Mic Arm: https://amzn.to/3Kh4wWR Burl AD Converter: https://amzn.to/3SXlY6w Preamp: https://amzn.to/3PwQ9hR Poweramp: https://amzn.to/3A4r8VB My Camera: https://amzn.to/3PuIO2n My Lens: https://amzn.to/3wcjhEd Camera Adapter: https://amzn.to/3A1nLyN Backup Camera: https://amzn.to/3PuqmXx Teleprompter: https:
