50% of African crops ROT before reaching you. Here's the solar-powered solution

विवरण

In Africa, 30-50% of harvested crops never reach consumers—rotting before they leave the farm gate. Four years ago, a team in Akumadan, Ghana decided to change that. Today, they're extending crop life from 5 days to 21+ days using solar-powered cooling tech, fighting to scale across three West African countries despite the brutal reality of fundraising for hardware in a continent that still imports its food. Guest: Prince, Business Development Officer of Akofresh Prince opens up about the daily fight of convincing smallholder farmers to abandon generations-old methods, the crushing challenge of middlemen stealing fair prices, and why one mobile cooling unit serving one community at a time isn't nearly enough. This is the real cost of innovation in agriculture—where testimonials replace marketing budgets, pay-as-you-go models replace upfront costs, and partnerships are the only path to scale.
