This book is the culmination of my experiences over the last twenty-five years. However, it is told in everyone's voice because everyone's journey is different. I stumbled into mindful meditation as a last resort in my lifelong battle with depression and anxiety. Those have been gone for a long time now. First I read probably close to 50 or more books, then I became a certified meditation teacher. I noticed that a lot of the available books seemed to go into great detail about Buddhism. While mindful meditation is a direct result of the teachings of the Buddha, I felt a non-secular narration would be more likely to cross the line to mainstream. So I wrote this book. It is a blueprint designed to take you through an easy-to-understand, step-by-step method of achieving maximum benefit from your journey. Living in the moment is indescribable; it is the definition of "stopping to smell the roses." If you try it honestly, you will feel a change in weeks, not months or years. That change will get better and better over time. It doesn't require anything else on your part: no religion, no chanting (unless you want to), and no special equipment.
