They booed me off stage - Mike Kayihura | It’s Never That Serious

Description

In this episode, I sit down with Mike Kayihura, the Rwandan musician behind viral lockdown hits like Sabrina. You’ve heard the music — now meet the man behind it. Mike opens up about his 12+ year journey in the music industry, from his first performances to becoming a household name in East Africa. He shares the most embarrassing moment of his career — yes, he really did get booed off stage — and what that taught him about rejection and resilience. We also get personal. Mike reveals that he’s actually an introvert who hates big crowds (despite being a performer!), and we explore what he would do if he had just one day left on earth. And in a surprise twist, he breaks down the real inspiration behind Sabrina — spoiler alert: there was no Sabrina! As always, the views expressed on the show are for entertainment purposes only — so grab your headphones, and let’s get into it.
