The Wayans Brothers on Scary Movie, White Chicks & How Comedy Has Gone Woke

Description

Is there going to be a White Chicks 2? Comedy legends Marlon and Shawn Wayans join The Romesh Ranganathan Show to talk about bringing Scary Movie back, the lasting impact of White Chicks and why Hollywood stopped making big comedy films. From creating iconic parody movies and surviving brutal reviews to growing up in one of comedy’s most influential families, the Wayans reflect on decades of making audiences laugh and why comedy might actually be harder than ever now. The brothers also discuss the chaos of In Living Color, their comedy influences and what it's like working with family and their legacy. They also touch on Marlon's love of stand-up and how it's shaped everything they do. Plus: Shanthi asks a question, the team gets roasted and there’s a heated complaint about the studio temperature.
