The Case That Still Won't Close: Philomena Gillane

Description

In this week's episode Nules looks into the case of Philomena Gillane, a woman whose life was torn apart in rural Ireland and whose murder has haunted her family for over three decades. On a quiet morning in 1994, Philomena disappeared, only for her body to be found weeks later in her own car, shot and stabbed in a manner that left so many questions unanswered. Her husband was convicted of soliciting her death, but no one has ever been charged with actually killing her. Nules unravels the story of a secret affair, threatening encounters, and talk of unidentified men near her home that day, revealing how a woman’s brutal murder remains a mystery even years later. You'll discover how justice was elusive in a rural community weighed down the devastating impact of this crime. A massive thank you to our sponsor, Revive Active, for supporting this episode.
