Outlast Your Past - Scott 'Sanga' Samways | Hillsong Africa | 26 April 2026

Description

This message speaks to the tension we all feel—the pull of our past versus the promise of our future. Rooted in Isaiah 43:18 and Luke 4, it reminds us that God is doing a new thing, and our past doesn’t get the final say. As Jesus stood in Nazareth, seen only as “Joseph’s son,” He chose to walk in the truth of who He was called to be. And we’re invited to do the same. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we learn to believe differently, speak life over our future, see through God’s perspective, and live in daily freedom. The past may try to define us—but we are called to walk through it, not stay in it. In God’s hands, our story is not our limitation—it’s the beginning of transformation.
