Love In Action S2 Ep 2 | Media Conditioning, Stop & Search & The Immigration Narrative

Description

Love In Action S2 Ep 2 | Media Conditioning, Stop & Search & The Immigration Narrative In this powerful and raw episode of Love In Action, host Rico Fogarty returns to the airwaves of Affinity Xtra by popular demand to tackle the heavy community issues directly impacting our society. Joined by media producer and community leader Roger Moore, this conversation dives deep beneath the surface of today’s most polarising headlines. Together, Rico and Roger dissect the root causes of systemic challenges rather than just looking at the "scale end" of the problem. They break down the political rhetoric surrounding stop-and-search tactics, the lived realities of tackling knife crime within the black community, and the dangerous ways modern media uses conditioning and fear-mongering to control public perception. From the historical echoes of the Windrush generation to recent civil unrest in Belfast, this episode is a call to action to stop being programmed by mainstream narratives, think critically, and appeal to our better nature.
