Description
When Victoria lost 5 million shillings in the Banda Homes scandal, she had no idea that even heavier losses were coming. Shortly after, she lost her husband and then her father. The emotional and financial strain took a toll on her health. She fell into depression and developed high blood pressure as she tried to hold herself together while raising her daughter and navigating life in Nairobi. Eventually, Victoria made a difficult decision to step away from the city. She began building her home slowly, gardening, planting food, and choosing a quieter, more present way of living. No rush. No pressure. Just taking each day as it came. Today, she says that slowing down, resting, and reconnecting with the soil helped her recover from depression and stabilize her blood pressure. Her message is simple: pause, breathe, and give yourself permission to rest. We hope Victoria’s story encourages you to slow down and take care of yourself. With Love, Lynn💚
