Kylie & Meredith Gaudreau on Johnny's Olympic Tribute, Raising Hockey Kids & Reality of Grief

Description

Kylie’s back for another episode of Not Gonna Lie brought to you by DoorDash! Kylie kicks off the show by talking about the biggest, most breaking news of the week: Donna Kelce’s home renovation (4:04)! As a non-professional journalist who takes these matters seriously, Kylie gives the inside scoop on whether there are REALLY 6 doors and 9 windows being replaced. She also takes a look at Allison Kuch’s hilariously relatable video about pregnancy cravings, specifically ones that involve hotdogs… (7:25) Then, in honor of the Oscars this weekend, Kylie hosts her Second Annual Screen Time Awards to recognize the movies and TV shows she actually HAS seen this year, which mostly consists of children’s programming (9:55). Kylie gives out awards for the movies she will tolerate if Wyatt turns the volume to 80, best show for a tantrum-free car ride, and the lifetime achievement award for Best Doomscroll. After that, Kylie welcomes Meredith Gaudreau to the show (23:17), who is opening up for the first time on a podcast about the unimaginable tragedy she and her family faced in losing her husband Johnny and her brother-in-law Matthew in August of 2024. Meredith shares how she first met Johnny at the Jersey shore (29:03), their life together as an NHL family (36:30), and how she’s continuing his legacy, most recently with their children alongside the U.S. Gold Medal-winning men’s hockey team at the Winter Olympics (1:05:26).
