When you’re living paycheck to paycheck, life can slowly shift into survival mode. The constant pressure to provide, pay bills, and keep everything afloat can quietly take over your days, your energy, and even your time with your family. Over time, it can feel like life is passing by while you’re just trying to keep up. Today, I’m sharing what I’ve learned from living this reality firsthand as a homemaker in a low-income household, and how survival mode can unintentionally steal your time, your peace, and even your ability to be present with the people you love most. I also share practical ways we’ve learned to pause, reset, and create intentional moments of rest—even in a busy and financially tight season. We’ll also talk about the pressure that often falls on providers in traditional homes, the physical and emotional toll that stress can take, and why it’s important to approach family roles with wisdom, grace, and flexibility rather than judgment. Unfortunately, I’ve also personally experienced judgment from others in the Christian community around these choices, and I address that honestly here as well. Most importantly, this video is a reminder that while hard seasons are real, they don’t have to steal your entire life. There are simple, meaningful ways to seek the Lord first, stay grounded, and create moments of connection and rest right where you are. If this message resonates with you, I hope it encourages you to slow down, reflect, and intentionally reclaim moments with your family. Thank you for being here and for watching. 🤍 Chronically Ove
