Hard Work, Audition Struggles and Owning Your Voice | Khosi Ngema and Shalate Sekhabi

Description

What does it mean to grow up around the industry — and still choose to rediscover it for yourself? In this episode of Inside Acting, Shalate and Khosi share an honest conversation about navigating performance, identity, and creativity as a new generation of storytellers. They reflect on their experiences and appreciate each other, having worked across major South African productions, like GO! House of Zwide, Blood and Water and Meet the Khumalos. Khosi speaks about stepping into directing — exploring storytelling from behind the camera — while Shalate opens up about writing, both musically and for the screen. Their shared love for music reveals another dimension of their artistry, reminding us that today’s actor is no longer confined to a single discipline.
