EP 10: Breastfeeding Is More Than Mother & Baby | Velvet Escario-Roxas

Description

For many mothers, it’s the dream. But what we don’t always see in the picture is that breastfeeding doesn’t just take two—it takes a village to make it work.Yes, Mom has a role to play. So does Baby. But so do our spouses and partners, our families, our workplaces, our communities, and even the policies that surround mothers. They help create the conditions that allow Mom and Baby to focus on this crucial act of love and nourishment. This August, for Breastfeeding Month, we celebrate this incredible, God-given system—and talk about the practical ways we can support mothers in making their breastfeeding journey a little more possible, supported, and successful.Joining us today is Velvet Escario Roxas, founder of Pinay Doulas Collective, Parenting Class in Manila, Breastfeeding Pinays, and Gentle Birth Philippines, and a member of Arugaan, as she shares insights and practical ways we can bring this kind of support to life. Because successful breastfeeding isn’t only about a mom’s will. It’s about the shared will of everyone around her.🤱🏻🎙️__We all see life through different perspectives, and Life Loading is our way of sharing stories and conversations that help fill in those gaps.
