Ashes 2025/26 2nd Test Day 4 Review – Another Grim England Away Loss + I'm In Negative Results

Description

Day 4 of the Ashes 2nd Test at the Gabba, Brisbane. In today’s vlog, I dive into Day 4 of the Ashes 2nd Test at the Gabba, bringing you a mix of cricket insight, stadium atmosphere, and the full match-day experience from a fan’s perspective. This will be one of four days at the Gabba (I can not see the game going to Day 5), and I hope to bring you along with me for the ride of an Ashes Test Match between Australia and England in Australia. Australia had embarrassed England the night before at the Gabba on Day 3, and no one had any hope that this match would last more than a few hours on Day 4. Stokes and Jacks came out to bat and by some miracle lasted until late in the day with attritional batting and patience, which is essential in Test Match Cricket and something that hasn’t been shown by this England team in Perth or in Brisbane. Too little, too late, it felt. However, we sit through the day watching England slowly bat towards level scores before building a tiny lead which didn’t last long as England collapsed to leave Australia a meagre target of 65 to win the game. Another grim test match for me away from home, but it was fun to be there, and the character building needed to be an England fan. Thanks for watching the series! I hope you find it amusing and entertaining. No Day 5 as predicted!
