Ashes 2025/26 2nd Test Day 1 Review – Majestic Root, Raucous Gabba Atmosphere + So Many Ducks

Description

Day 1 of the Ashes 2nd Test at the Gabba, Brisbane. In today’s vlog I dive into Day 1 of the Ashes 2nd Test at the Gabba, bringing you a mix of cricket insight, stadium atmosphere, and the full match-day experience from a fan’s perspective. This will be one of four days at the Gabba (I can not see the game going to Day 5) and I hope to bring you along with me for the ride of an Ashes Test Match between Australia and England in Australia. From a majestic Joe Root performance to a raucous and rowdy Gabba crowd, this vlog captures everything that made the opening day memorable. I take you through my pre-match thoughts, in-stadium reactions, and the general chaos of a day where — somehow — we saw so many ducks fall across the scorecard. Classic Ashes drama. Alongside the cricket, I show off the Gabba vibe, the local food and drink scene, and what it’s like taking in a massive Test match under the Brisbane sun. If you love the Ashes, stadium culture, travel content, or just seeing what the day looked like through the eyes of a fan, this one’s for you. Thanks for watching!
