So You Want to Be a Missionary?: Essential Considerations

Missionary life is rich in experience and calling. So You Want to Be a Missionary?: Essential Considerations is a result of the author’s decades of missionary service in Africa and to missionaries. The book offers essential considerations of every phase of missionary life. From the very first steps towards missionary service to the retiring missionary, heartfelt information unfolds offering encouragement, reflection, and challenge. Choosing your field of service, first entry into the country, raising children on the field, managing conflict, understanding cultures, the importance of language acquisition and both leaving the field and returning home well marks just a few life-changing topics in this book. So You Want to Be a Missionary?: Essential Considerations seek to better equip missionaries for the rigors and challenges many missionaries find themselves unprepared to face during their tenures on the field. Don served with his wife Kathy for twenty-two years as missionaries in South Africa. He pastored two churches in Minnesota.
