Slightly Off Balance

After Deanna Sullivan—aka Tweedle-Dee—found herself hanging upside down at the town carnival, the last thing she expected was for Reel Thurman to return home. But when strange occurrences threaten her safety, the overbearing security expert and local legend, Reel Thurman, swoops into town and vows to protect her. Reel might have laser-focused skills and the body of a Greek god, but in Deanna’s opinion, he was supposed to stay in her past—far in her past. With a mega eye roll thrown his direction, Deanna focuses on her baking, determined to ignore him. But as the ovens heat up, so does the danger level—and the undeniable pull between them. She’ll have to hang up her apron long enough to stay alive. But can she solve the mystery before Reel Thurman becomes too delicious to resist?Slightly Off Balance has been reported by readers to cause inappropriate behavior, which includes, but is not limited to: bursts of obnoxious laughter while surrounded by strangers, episodes of snorting, tears of laughter requiring excessive nearby tissues, and others reported spraying beverages across favorite reading environments while reading chapter one. Please continue with caution. From the Author:This book was my happy accident. Needing to decompress after writing my more intense suspense crime thrillers, I picked away at this novel and a few months later, out poppedSlightly Off Balance.Though my writing style doesn’t typically bend toward the white light of happily-ever-after, whenever I need a quick laugh, I grab my paperback off the bookshelf to read chapter one—and I'm the one who wrote it!So even if humorous romantic mysteries are not your cup of tea, I encourage you to click the Look-Inside feature so you can preview the first chapter. It’s worth the time, won’t cost you a penny, and you’ll be rewarded with a bit of fun!(By the way… Did you catch the initials in the title? SOB? That wasn’t planned either!)Read more
