Oscar Winner Satyajit Ray[english]

Satyajit Ray, one of the most prolific figures of world cinema, gave Indian literature, music, art, and film a distinctive aesthetic expression. His writings are regarded as treasure troves that have largely gone undiscovered, particularly his thoughts on screenwriting, filmmaking, and notable figures from the worlds of art, literature, and music. This particular series offers a thorough and instructive examination of Ray's various personas, both as a filmmaker and as a person. We learn about his upbringing, relationships, struggles, and final days as we attempt to understand his sense of cinema, instinctive understanding of musical nuances, and propensity for casting non-actors. Listen to the phenomenal and inspiring life story of the man who knew too much.
