LOVE MARRIAGE. MARRIAGE OF STATE: Life of Alfonso XII and the vicissitudes of his reign

It reflects the life of Alfonso XII and all the vicissitudes of his reign. It is a historical novel written in the first person, with a lively, direct style that combines historical objectivity with narrative amenity. It is based on the abundant and rigorous data that the Doctor of History María Teresa Puga has consulted in national and foreign archives. The journalist Eusebio Ferrer draws on these data. The reader is thus offered an entertaining account, not only of the reign of Alfonso XII, but also of a period of unquestionable historical and human interest, but little known, somewhat overshadowed by the brief and romantic life of a King so beloved in his time that he was given such singular titles asAuthentic King,Romantic King,King Peacemaker, among others. The story is rounded off with a psychological study of the personality of Alfonso XII and the people around him, carried out by the Professor of Psychiatry, Enrique Rojas, which adds a touch that brings us closer to the humanity of this King.Read more
