Jackson "Jax" Diaz is the quiet, unassuming member of the REAPER team. He stayed in the background, performed his job, and was happy to do so. He loved his brothers and their families. Joining the team as a young man, he had the privilege of watching some of the children grow up. One in particular, always had his heart. He watched her become a beautiful teenager; then he watched her become a stunning young woman; and now she was home; an adult, full-grown, and more than of legal age. Gorgeous, brilliant, talented and a royal pain in his ass, he was finally going to ask her out. Of course, he had to get past her father first. Set to finally ask her on a date, Ellie does something so incredibly stupid, even Jax can't find it in his heart to overlook it. The problem is, not everything is as it appears. Overcoming his past is the only thing that will let him move forward to his future...Ellie.Read more
