In Pursuit of the Perfect Paella: (Further adventures from a new life in Spain)

Ten years on from an impetuous “lock, stock and barrel” move to the Costa Blanca, Mark Harrison recounts the events that exemplify his new Spanish lifestyle. From a serious skirmish with developers, to an encounter with wild boars and the vagaries of the weather, the story paints a humorous and yet poignant picture of life in foreign land as viewed through his own eyes and those of his stoical wife, Vivien. The story is interwoven with a series of paella experiences that epitomise Spanish culture and tradition and give a taste of everyday expat life. Forget the guides and manuals, this is real time, real life experience written with true insight and honesty. Essential reading for anyone who has ever dreamed of exchanging the rat race for a new life in the Spanish sun.Read more
