Phoebe is a young girl who lost her mother when she was a child. She also has an older brother and sister. Phoebe was in love with Scott, her best friend and they thought they were going to get mated, but it turns out fate had other plans. The Elders have agreed that Joel, the new Alpha will mate with Phoebe and their packs will carry on peacefully. They needed the packs to be united and stand firm against selling their land to developers who would surely destroy the packs. But the heart wants what the heart wants and that should matter.
