Firefly in the Shadow

No electricity. No social media. No adults. That’s Brooklyn’s world after a virus wiped out everyone over the age of sixteen four years earlier, turning some of them into mindless cannibals.Brooklyn blames herself for the loss of her kid sister shortly after the Cataclysm ended the world she knew. Her lifeline to sanity was her need to care for Gabby, her sister’s best friend.Gabby, guided by dreams, insists God is calling them to journey to a faraway city, a place they’re forbidden to mention by the ruler of their compound, the shadowy Victor. When Victor sentences Gabby to death for talking about her dream, Brooklyn and Gabby go on the run, receiving unexpected help from one of Victor’s henchmen and Gabby's spiritual connection to what they believe may be an angel. The race is on, and to survive, they’ll need to unlock the mystery of the Cataclysm and escape both Victor, who seems to be three moves ahead, and the zombie-like mutants who roam the land.Firefly in the Shadowtakes readers on a wild ride through a post-apocalyptic world in which hope has seemingly died. Can Brooklyn and her friends bring light to the land before the shadow falls on the world for good?Read more
