Do you want to conquer life's challenges?Jesus wants that for you too! We usually can’t prevent what happens to us, but we can change our reaction to it just by following some simple biblical principles. Are you plagued by anxiety? So was the apostle Paul. Are you gripped with fear? So was the prophet Elijah. Are you riddled with doubt? So was John the Baptist.Do you want to learn to live with hope, rather than despair, and optimism rather than dread? I invite you to join me on this journey. We’ll face some of life’s challenges head on, including:AnxietyFearDoubtRejectionTemptationGuilt and ShameMoneyComparisonSicknessCompromiseWe’re often our own worst enemies. I’m a lawyer who became a believer in my late thirties. Then God called me to be a pastor. I’ve made a lot of mistakes. I’ll share funny and sometimes sad stories of my own encounters with these issues and show the successes and failures of Biblical characters as they faced the same dilemmas. God included these narratives in the Bible to teach us how to avoid pitfalls and overcome adversity. Of course, we’ll learn from Jesus, the greatest teacher of all. He promises to get us through what we can’t get around.Read more
