Defining The Executive Pastor Role

About the Expanded and Updated Edition:After 10 years of impacting Executive Pastors around the globe, Defining The Executive Pastor Role has received a major update and expansion with four new chapters and input from ten more years of experience. What is an Executive Pastor (XP)? Are you wired to be an XP? How is an XP different than an Associate Pastor? Should XP's have a degree in pastoral ministry, business, or both? Does your church need an XP? What should a church look for in seeking to fill this often overlooked, undervalued, yet critical position? How does one become an Executive Pastor? Once you get a job, what should your first year look like? How are Executive Pastors different when it comes to matters of the soul? How do you continue to grow in this pivotal role? These and other questions are the focus of this short work on defining the Executive Pastor Role. Written with a brevity designed to allow you to read or skim quickly, you'll still find enough depth to provide meaningful direction and insight. Current and future XP's should read this book for definition. Potential XP's should read this book to clarify their calling. And church leaders considering hiring an XP should read this book before beginning their search. Forward by Mike Bonem, co-author of Leading From the Second Chair and Thriving In the Second Chair.Read more
